2005 saw our third Senior Leaders' Consultation, hosted by the European Apostolic Team, part of a process of discussion and prayer, seeking to find God's heart for our European family of churches - as a family together on mission.

The journey so far

Congregational and other Senior Leaders from the UK family of churches gathered in November 2003 for a time of prayer, prophetic and discussion, seeking to find clarity about our direction as a family of churches. The prophetic word was rich and powerful! Some of the conclusions of our time together were

1. that God was calling us to be a family of churches, but with a clear sense of being a family on a mission
2. that the mission included a call to 'go to Europe' was reinforced by many of the prophetic words below
3. that we needed a fresh understanding of the release of apostolic ministry amongst our churches - this was explained in an article published by the European Apostolic Team after the conference.

This year

The September 2005 edition of our internal Senior Leader newsletter gave a progress update on many of the goals set after 2003 and asked for further feedback and input from Senior Leaders into planning this years' Consultation. Further copies of this are available from the European office.

We will also reflect on 28:18, and the prophetic impact we received, thrusting our family of churches further forwards into mission.
